We’re Part of Something Bigger
Cedar Springs is a local church, but we believe local churches are healthier when they live in meaningful relationship with other churches.
We are part of Confluence, a family of churches working together to strengthen local churches, plant new churches, equip leaders, and advance the gospel. Confluence is part of the larger Newfrontiers family, an international movement of churches serving together around the world.
A Family of Churches on Mission
Our relationship with Confluence is more than membership in an organization. It is built around shared relationships, convictions, and mission.
Together, Confluence churches seek to:
- Strengthen healthy local churches
- Plant new churches
- Train and equip leaders
- Participate in gospel mission around the world
We believe we can accomplish more for the Great Commission together than we can as isolated churches.
Confluence Northwest
Cedar Springs participates most directly in Confluence Northwest, our regional family of churches in the Pacific Northwest. Confluence Northwest calls the following churches its own:
- New Community Church in Tacoma, WA
- Trinity Central in Vancouver, BC
- Christ Church in Corvallis, OR
- Living Hope in Hayden, ID
We also regularly fellowship with additional churches connected to Confluence Northwest in Canada and Mexico.
Throughout the year, our churches gather together for friendship, worship, training, youth and young adult events, and shared mission. These relationships give our leaders and our church opportunities to learn from, encourage, and serve alongside other churches that share our commitment to Christ and His mission.
Local Church, Shared Mission
Cedar Springs remains locally led by our elders, who are responsible before God for the teaching, direction, and care of our church. At the same time, we value the wisdom, encouragement, accountability, and partnership that comes from being connected to a broader family of churches.
Our desire is simple: to be deeply rooted in Graham while participating in what God is doing far beyond Graham.
